Square Pipes

square pipes are a type of steel pipe distinguished by their square cross-sectional shape and the method of production used to create them. These pipes are formed through a process that involves rolling steel coils and welding them longitudinally, providing a strong, durable, and cost-effective solution for various structural and industrial applications.

Manufacturing Process

  • Steel Coil Preparation: Steel coils are first unrolled and passed through a series of forming rollers. These rollers shape the steel into a flat strip or sheet.
  • Forming: The flat steel strip is then continuously fed through a set of rollers that progressively shape it into a square or rectangular profile.
  • Welding: The edges of the formed steel strip are aligned and subjected to an electric resistance welding process. In this process, electrical resistance generates heat at the contact surfaces, causing the edges to fuse together. This method ensures a strong, continuous weld along the length of the pipe.
  • Cooling and Sizing: After welding, the pipe is cooled and further processed to achieve the desired dimensions. It may be cut to length, and additional treatments such as galvanizing or coating can be applied to enhance its corrosion resistance.
